drive and driven pulleys is the correct terms, for example big crank pulley to ps big gear is 1:1, big crank pulley to small ps pulley is 1:4, so in this example 650 rpm crank = 650 rpm ps and 650 rpm crank is 2600 rpm ps pulley. Overly exaggerated yes but you get the point now.
