I can be carrying over 2 tons of fire wood and more than that in gravel or dirt over less then ideal conditions.

I understand that, that's just proper use of a K30 work truck, IMHO. But you're not bouncing through obstacles under full power with 44's and a locked differential either.

I got my Jeep for that but you never know.

Please post a pic of your hub so I know for sure what I am looking for at the salvage yard. The unfortunate thing is with all the rain we have had many of the trucks there will be in water or ice untill freaking March.

Please post a pic of your hub so I know for sure what I am looking for at the salvage yard. The unfortunate thing is with all the rain we have had many of the trucks there will be in water or ice untill freaking March.

For what it's worth, just to add to this thread since it's on topic, This is a pic of a Factory OEM Spicer hub off of an 80 K10. Discolored due to age obviously and a 10 bolt, which would also be what you'd find on a K20.

So, this is NOT what you'd see on a Dana 60 front axle from a 1 ton or K30/3500. But for comparison purposes... here you go.
