I needed to replace my rear output seal. I decided to replace the extension - tail housing bushing as well since the tail housing to tcase was weeping. I figured I would get ahead of the preventative maintenance curve. Ordered a timken 5208 which all parts stores and rock auto list as correct. The seal is correct but the bushing is wrong. OD of the timken bushing is 1.9985 . I believe this is the bushing for 2wds but truly not sure. The correct bushing for a transfer case output(NP208) has an OD of 2.010 . Napa can get the correct one but does not stock. I had to go to a trans supply shop, which obviously was not open on the weekend while the truck was down.

Trans shop/internet part number is 297-62 Some places have a wt preceding
