Sealed beam conversion

Has anyone found sealed beam conversion housings from anywhere other than lmc or hella? My truck has the 89-91 front clip so it’s the 150mm housings. I don’t really want to pay the price for those but if I have to i will.

Eurolamps makes a set. I think they are comparable in price to hellas though. Price wise LMC has the market locked. There used to be how to threads on the LS1 boards on how guys drilled certain brand sealed beam housings. I cant seem to find it though. I do remember the ones they used to drill having ceramic around the plug instead of being all metal. I would assume they drilled out the ceramic and stuck an H7 bulb in there with hot glue.

Have a friend that swapped in lights from a 90 ish Celebrity with that front end so he could use 9005/6 bulbs like newer cars.

Are they the right size to fit without moding the grill?

I’m almost certain my Caprice and Jimmy (stacked beams) share the same size of lights.

I've never done this mod, but I remember people doing it in the 90's. From the looks, maybe minor trimming, if any, for the bezels and some new holes on the core support for the bucket assemblies.
