Hey guys.

I have an irritating scratching noise coming from the steering column when i drive over 10mph. It is loud when the car is cold and gets quieter when warm (but never goes away).

It sounds like a bearing failure of some sort. Does anyone know if this is a known problem that can be sorted with a bit of WD40?

Thanks!

Yes it does speed up the faster I go.

Edit: I really hope it isnt a bad U-Joint as that's a lot of work. Might attack it with WD40 and see if that makes any difference.
