Couple guys run them. I don't really like the look of them that much on square bodies. Only custom mounts are available to run a bar on our trucks.

Biggest thing to look out for is hood glare. Greatly depends upon your paint color, worsened even more so by any and all dust.

Unless you're running a pure spot bar (15° or less) look to putting it above the bumper to avoid all the glare. You can fab up a little visor to bolt to thr bar that will act as a shield to any light that would be hitting the hood/windshield.

Also, LED bars have a tendency to whistle/howl above 30-40 mph. One way to help fix that is to put some plastic/rubber door edge trim on a couple of the fins for the whole length of the bar.

Ive had a 42 inch on my daily driver for a few years now and i've never had a whistle personally. The only time you could ever slightly hear it was if the wind is blowing pretty hard, and it would only do it when the wind was blowing straight at the ass end, never from the front, and I'm from North Dakota so I know some wind lol.

Odd. Down here in Socal almost every truck has an issue with it whistling or howling while everyday driving. Guess its just a particular angle or speed? Probably depends on the style of bar or how close it is to the roof/windshield.

Speed doesn't affect it, 0-100 there's no noise. Its about 3-4 inches from the top of the windshield, and the windshield on it isn't very steep at all, so there's a lot of wind going past it. Its pointed straight forward, and what's also interesting is that its not a very high quality lightbar honestly, it had a glass lens that cracked and shattered not plexi or poly or whatever they use, it has really good output but not high quality.

I replaced the lens with 1/4 plexiglass still didn't make any noise. It could possibly be the mounting brackets that make noise?? But I just used the ones that came with the lightbar, that weren't anything fancy at all lol

On my buddy's 1st gen tacoma we threw a 42" single row on there. Had it within an 1/8th of the roof line with custom mounts from the door jamb. Would whistle starting at 35.

So guess it definitely depends on the distance between the roof/windshield line and the bar that determines whether it will make much noise.
