hello my name is bill and i live in englewood colo . i have a 1973 truck that i have owned for 25 yrs. i bought this truck from my father. he bought the truck as a salvage vehicle that had been in a fire. the front end had been burned.it started as a mountain bell service truck.when my dad purchased it he put a new bed on it then he let it set until 1992 .when i bought it from him it had 65 miles on it.it now has 9000 miles on the org 350 motor.i have replaced the cab,new 700r trans ,new rear end out of a 86 suburban.i have been working on this for 25 yrs since i started a family and had 2 kids and i keep working on it.

Welcome!! I used to live in englewood. Is Cinderella city still a dump or did they tear it down?

Ohhhh, you're talking about a mall. Apparently, it was demolished in 1999. I thought you were talking about a housing project when I first read that.

You gotta love those long-term-keep-it-in-the-family projects. The real fun is when you pass it on to the next family member. We have a similar "rescue" vehicle in our family.. Way back in 1968, I rescued a 1957 Chevrolet Nomad from a life as a chicken house.. I brought it back to life, made it a daily driver.. My son drove it to high school in the '80s.. I passed it on to his son in 2010.. 49 years in the family last month and it's it's still a daily driver..
