It is not speed-dependent. I can drive the truck with overdrive off and I never have the shake

Glad you found it. Were you able to get new bolts tight?

Start with the easy. Get the tires balanced. The direct drive can make something like that more noticeable where some converter slip can mask a lot. Just read a thread elsewhere that mentioned a miss in the engine being accentuated by the lockup. Once an injector was replaced it went away.
Edit: another poster in the same thread fixed theirs with ujoints

Do check simple rings first. I took my 4l80e in to be rebuilt-had a bad shake in 4th gear. On the phone with trans guy he warned of the very same thing as above posters. The lower rpms of high gear and lockout can unmask engine or drivetrain vibrations.

For me, it was the overrun clutch welding to whichever planetary blah blah. Transmission rebuild.

I had no issues in lockup prior to dropping the transmission and swapping that flexplate

I had an issue when stopping. I replaced the rotors and all is nice again.

I didn't mean to imply that it was your trans. A down cylinder etc can become more apparent under these load conditions.

So.... definitly my predominate shake from the driver side of the engine. I have it out idling trying to see where its more from. I swear its a LOT quieter running motor then normal.... dead cylinder? Both injectors are spraying.

Start it up cold and spray a squirt bottle of water on the header tubes/manifolds close to the heads. It will sizzle off quickly from the cylinders that are running and linger on dead cylinders.

Hot damn I got her fixed. Love working in the fire department, a lot of guys had past jobs. Talk to a buddy of mine that ran of shop for years he told me to check out the distributor cap. Well in the process of getting ready to switch that I noticed cylinder 3 wire was smashed between the engine and bellhousing. New cap and wires and she's running like a new truck
