Yes or no? Seems ok to install and good pricing. All online research shows positive feedback...any good reasons not to? Anyone using one?

I've never used one but the reviews I read say they are a little noisy when turning and it's make your vehicle push when turning. I have an Eaton limited slip carrier that I have no complaints with. One thing I want to add is that the Powertrax is about 1/2 the price of the Eaton I have and according to the site, much easier to install.

If you decide to go Powertrax, do yourself a favor and get the No-Slip version. It makes no noise at all and I haven't managed to break it despite some really heavy loads. You looking to do the front or rear?

???no slip????? So basically its a spool now. I would avoid spools on the street.

BTW, I've been told consider 300hp and 35in tire the max for the Lock Right. If can get by and tolerate the herky jerky on turns and noise from a LockRight, then you can also tolerate a Detroit Locker which is pretty much considered the best of the industry standard for a Locker and it's only $100 or so more. So if you're buying it for a 10 or 12 bolt, and wanting to take advantage of the no resetting up of the ring and pinion, go for the LockRight (Or Consider the NO Slip) and save the $100 or so. If doing a 14b Full Float, you have to split the carrier even for a LockRight, so you're really not saving any labor and will have to set up the ring and pinion again anyway, so in that case, I'd spend the extra cash and get the Detroit Locker.

I had a lockright in my old 12 bolt and now have a detroit in my 14 bolt. Even though the detroit is more expensive I'd recommend it.

I also like how the detroit handled winter driving. Locked and unlocked better when going around corners.
