Damn that's a nice truck. I don't think I would lower mine or put wheels like that on it though. Any idea what a repaint with the original scheme would cost on average or ballpark?

Depends on whos doing it or if youre doing it yourself. depends on how much body work, rust repair, prep work needed. too many variables to give an accurate estimate. but if I had to guess I would say $3-8k?
personally, I love the two tone black and gray. my favorite combo. If you do plan to repaint I would love to see that truck go back to the original paint scheme. especially since it sounds like it may have sentimental value with being a friends dads truck. and ya I wouldn't lower it or wheels or anything. loose the shell keep the rally wheels freshen up the paint and have a beautiful classic to roll in and be proud of. oh.. loose the running boards too :)

I will probably do everything but the sanding and painting. I think I will just paint it to the original paint scheme, it's nice to see what everyone else's trucks look like. She told me herself that she would paint it all black if she would've redone it but I think she will like it redone original. I may end up putting different wheels on it, I'll have to see after I get the original cleaned up. I'm loosing the shell, and I'm going to start working on it Wednesday. The first thing that's coming off is the running boards haha.

It's not really fair to say. There's a local tech school/career center that took it on as a class project.
Had quotes for $5k tho, and that's taking all the glass out and replacing with new rubbers and gaskets.

I understand! There's an auto body class at the high school I graduated from. My mom is the district bookkeeper there, I may ask her to ask the teacher if they could work on mine/how much it would cost.

That cool as hell that you took it to a school to have it done. Not hijacking just thought it needed said.

Sounds cheesy, but it was really cool to see how excited the kids were about their work everytime the teacher sent me pics. Good to see my toy teaching them a solid trade.

Looks like they did/are doing a hell of a job. Would love to see more photos when you get a chance and definitely photos of it finished.

I'll definitely post some more when I get it back.
Especially when the bullet holes are replaced with 20s & 22s.

The "C08" is the bottom color. 2014-2016 BMW color.

And this is what it looked like when we dropped it off.
My pops started the body work.

I'll probably TRY to tackle some of the body work on mine. I'm not competent enough to sand it as I've heard your sanding determines how well the paint will turn out and I've never sanded a vehicle.
