Sorry for all the pics, but stopped by again today to drop off one last set of parts. In these you can see the stance. I'm thinking she needs to go down a little more....[IMG][IMG][IMG]

There isn't much to hear until you really get on the pedal. There's no easily discernible lope at idle like there is with many cams. The thing I like about the 5.3 is that they will take high RPMs. I think we have the rev limit on my truck set at 6200 or 6400 and so when I mash the pedal there's plenty of room to stay in the acceleration as hard as I want to, for as long as I want to. The cam wakes up these 5.3's so much that I now want to put one in the 5.3 that is in my 01 Suburban. This combo makes for a great balance of performance and usability. I can drive this truck around town and although it's noticeably peppy it provides a normal driving experience. But when I get on the pedal, even moderately, it runs like a scalded dog. And, I haven't checked it yet, but this setup is reported to get better than 20mpg on the highway with the right computer tune.

Don’t doubt the 6.0 for liking rpm. Our old 2500 work trucks were 6.0s and going up a hill pulling a 5000lb reach on the trailer it would kick down to 2nd gear and scream. Lol

All of the LSx blocks love RPM's. My LS6 pulled all the way to 7K with my 238/242 .600/.600 111 LSA cam.

But is there that much difference between the 5.3 and 6.0 cam to justify all the work for that cam?

Its looking good man, cant wait to see it in person.

I agree it needs more low, but thats just my opinion. You might not want it as low as the burb...

yeah, we'll have to look at it when I get it back and see how low it'll go and measure for the wheels and tires.
