It's a 6. I thought that's what it might be, but wasn't sure. I don't know how old it is. My boss actually has two of these machines. This one ran, the other is incomplete.

I was kind of thinking, this engine in my K5 frame with my '92 Camaro body on it.
I have a K5 frame to donate to the cause come get it free just missing the front axle shafts. Then I won’t have to cut it up. That would be awsome

Two stroke Detroit, screaming Jimmy.
That`ll definitely pull the K5 with the Camaro body.
These engines are air cooled from the wind blowing through the block, only coolant is in the cylinder heads.
Running the rack to tune them up is easy.
You might want to pack along some hearing protection when driving it.
Please build this unit.

Awesome. I'll start buttering up the boss so I can hopefully get my hands on one of them.

It sounds like a manual trans would be the way to go. Anyone know offhand what bellhousing bolt pattern this is? Looks like it's the bigun' for a large truck. Any way to run a common trans behind it, like an SM465?

As long as those have been around I’m sure. Definitely would want a GV on the back of that combo. Look for a SAE#2 pattern adapter.

I've had wet dreams over a 6-71 in a square for a long long time. They just sing. Even a 4-71 or even the little 4-53 would be fun as hell too!
