Went to start my truck to go home earlier and idk what exactly to call it but it felt like a runaway diesel. It revved waaay higher than usual (no tach = no numbers) and it wouldn't idle down. It was way faster than high idle so I'm not sure what I'm looking for here. Side note: checked my coolant and had some brown foamy **** in there, kinda worried me

Check your throttle linkage for binding, as well as any return spring, carpet or mat at the pedal and throttle cable. Check the simple stuff first more often then not you find stuff there first.

Make sure the carb bolts are torqued down correctly, too. I had this same issue last winter, and that was the cause of it.
