Hey folks. I'm Chris. I've been a never-die Chevy man my whole life. There's never been anything better. I hope to share & help all that I can here & receive when needed too. Nothing like being amongst the company of fellow Chevy truck lovers like myself. Glad to be here.
I now have an '86 k5. Next month will be two years that I've had it. I've had two other k5's & several c10's & 20's and 2 k10's & a k20 & k30. Anyhow, she's a m1009 CUCV with a n/a 6.2, th400/np208 sitting on a d60 & 14bff from under a m1008 truck. The 14bff was already locked & I locked the d60 with the grizzly Detroit clone. Got a homemade bumper on the front with a Desert Dynamics (Pierce) 12.5k worm-drive winch, h1 36"x12.5"-16.5 tires on a set of eagle alloys, front axle hangin on 52" rear springs & b52 kit from diy4x, rear hangin on 56" burb springs with a shackle flip & 6" USDR shackles. That gives you an idea right?
Here she is right after I built the first bumper for her right after I got the rig.
This is how she sits now. I have some 300+ pics of the transformation.
Actually, this is before switching from the 6" lift springs on the front to the 52" springs.
This is a day or 2 after the front spring swap.
