is it a short box? if the truck is also from the southwest, you may be sitting on quite the gem. 73 is one of the best looking years. any pictures?

Yeah short bed. Original owner was my old man purchased new, single address since 73. Never left the state other than AZ for a couple trips in the 70s. Front end lowered 235/60/15 and 295/60/15 rear. Wanting a wider rear tire and a bit taller. But tires and wheels are sorta hard to figure. So many options on low profile tires. Otherwise it sorta looks like M/T or Hoosier style higher side walls.
Th400 needs rebuild so either do that and eventually add a gear vendor over drive or install a 4L85E. Not sure yet.
Also want to replace rear end w a complete strange S60. Engine ran when parked. But afaik valve guides allow oil by that fouls the plugs. So it’s pull heads and repair or possibly buy a new set of assembled aluminum bow tie heads w 2.25/1.88 valves. But unsure clearances and what compression ratio it would end up as. Current engine has torker manifold, holley 3310-3 MSD ignition. I own a 81 K20 suburban also that needs engine and rebuilt th400 so possible to move the 454 to the burb and buy a 502 or 572 crate engine for the 73. Money could be a problem with some of my ideas
. Not to mention the 55 BelAir 2 door post that could use an art Morrison chassis. Looks almost identical to the 2 lane black top car cosmetically. My old mans vehicle also. He also had a 55 Nomad which Is still in family but not mine.
