What about the Dodge trucks that had them?

I do not know. It's not uncommon for a car manufacturer to take a design, and make a few proprietary changes to make it their own.

Brutal. GM got the Light Duty version, and Fiat got the Heavy Duty.
It didn’t matter they had problems with them too it’s a dodge thing and I do understand. Lol

Welcome.

NV4500's had an issue with a nut coming loose literally allowing 5th gear to just walk off the end of it's shaft.

yup. already got a nut ordered to try to fix it. atleast for now.

the more i read about it im thinking there will be a TKO600 in my future. if not that then maybe muncie but not sure if that will be strong enough.

for now just get it drivable and fix some quirks. like the speedo not working (nv4500 has electric speed sensor) and the heater isnt working.

heater started with just blowing cold air. after looking it over i think the hoses are not hooked up properly. but also i pulled out the crapily installed radio and after doing that the heater doesnt even blow air now lol. so gonna have to fix that.

then on to suspension and engine mods.
