So today I took my truck out for a drive and all the sudden I looked back and saw a huge cloud of white smoke. I got stopped to check it out and there was oil everywhere. The motor made no unusual noises and drove the same as it did before all this happens. The truck backfires like crazy now. What would cause all this? The truck still starts up. I am sure it was oil and not trans fluid as well. The motor is stick except for headers and dual exhaust. Has about 186k miles.

White smoke indicates you are getting water into the combustion chambers. Maybe blown head gasket.

Is the smoke oil burning off the exhaust or coming from the exhaust?

That would make sense. The oil is over full and there isn't any coolant.

I'm not sure but I'm thinking a combination of both.

It does look like there's excess fluid coming from between the block and head.

IDE say head gasket then that will give you both external burning and threw the exhaust pull that plug it's probably all wet.

Well it looks like that's the culprit. Is there anything I can do to these heads to get more power while it's apart?

Rebuild them, voted swap or I got a set of World heads I would give you a good deal on. Not trolling just letting you know I have them on CL locally but I'd rather see them go on something worth while. They ar S/R 1-052 1.94 intake with 76cc chambers google them and if there is interest we can talk.

Guessing they are stock heads? The TPI and vortec heads are better along with just about every aftermarket head out there, so you need to figure out what your budget is and your goal for the swap.
