A 350C will have an electrical plug in the case on the left side.

not trying to hijack a thread, but did t350s ever have a cast aluminum flexplate cover like a 700r4, or were they all the sheet metal covers?

For the 4x4 Th350, I do believe so just like the 700r4's. If it was 2wd, then it was either tin or plastic.

ok. was there a break somewhere that they did that, or were they all supposed to have the cast cover? I ask because my 74 4x4 has a sheet metal cover, had it from the factory when grandpa bought it in 74.

BTW, this isn't hijacking a thread whatsoever. It's titled more questions about Th350 right? If the question is about Th350's then it's on topic and not hijacked at all. Don't ever be afraid to jump in on someone elses thread and ask for more detail so long as the subjects are the same. That keeps us from having so many duplicate threads. And we do have a ton of duplicates here.

Not sure when it happened, but obviously later than 74. Now I'm starting to question myelf. Am I thinking of Th400's?

No, I had a '79 k10 in high school, had the cast inspection cover. The rpo sticker also stated it was equipped with what they considered a heavy duty th350. At one point it started giving me trouble, so the one that I swapped it out with ended up with the regular stamped cover. Perhaps the HD transmissions got the cast cover?
