Moly powder in positrac differintial?

will moly powder harm posi- trac clutches? when i worked in an oilfield, we mixed with gear oil in large gearboxes and it would really quieten them down

It will glaze onto clutches and make them slip essentially giving open differential. I've seen this mistake first hand before
