Just signed up thought id drop in and say hello. My truck is an 83 gmc sierra classic. Have plans for the future but they'll probably take some time. Hope I can find some useful information here and share what I know as well. Thanks

@hbains .....one thing I've always been curious about is do you have a build thread on this truck somewhere on another forum? I've always been curious how the truck got to the current state and where it started

Thanks guys! It's "bought not built" hahahaha no but really I used to have a 10" lift on my dmax but decided it was getting old so I brought it down to stock in hopes of using that money to buy a squarebody that needed work. I had intentions of buying a truck that needed a bit of work and fixing it up on my own as I loved working on my dmax. During the search this one came up at a price I couldn't pass up and the fact it was built just as I wanted to make one look like made it all the better. Story on this truck is original owner bought it in 83, drove for 100k miles and then parked it in a barn for 13 years in hopes of restoring it one day. Guy I bought it from bought it off the old man and did all the body work, chassis paint/cleanup, new lift and new tires on 15x12 weld scorpios. He did all of that stuff about 10 months before I bought it off of him! Always wanted a lifted red k10 on welds. Might swap a 6.0 lq4 in in the future along with a few other goodies!

Well, either way she sure is pretty and there's no shame in getting a good deal on a truck that looks that good and saving you time and money in the long run

I can't remember the brand I'll have to run to the shop and get you some pics Of how they mount too...

Thanks had to put smaller tires on mine to work in the cab lol
