I love having the option to lean my bench forward, but I also have a pair of buckets out of an 87 g25.
Other than a piano hinge at the front. Has anyone ever taken them apart and made them hinge?

Without much thought put into it, couldn't you grab the assembly out of a vehicle that has that option? It would be more of a custom job I would expect. I think it'd be a great idea for bench seats also....beefed up more though.

Thanks for the post, I had the same line of thought when thinking about the buckets I plan to put in sometime.

You might search Ebay to see if anyone has some hinges off the buckets out of a Blazer/Jimmy/Suburban. I'd think it would be easier to swap than convert. Not SURE it would work, just a thought.

Blazer or Jimmy tracks would likely work with some modification. They hinged forward. Suburban front seats do not fold
