there is a junk yard up here selling carb convertions 6.0 for 1,400 or stand alone harness to keep the injection for the same price.

you can build one for less than that. and have it all like you want. there is some good info all around the internet, but the best I have found is here.

They have even taken the liberty to tell you which pins to remove, and which pins hook up to the truck harness,

I figured it was time to start to start a thread where all of you who are doing LS conversion can post up some of your info, experiences, places for conversion parts etc. Above is a great link for wiring harness pinout info. Thanks Josh.

Your welcome, but obviously wiring isn't all your going to need for an LSX swap, obviously you'll need to modify your fuel system if you're keeping the fuel injection like me. LS1 engine's require a significant increase in fuel pressure. Most people either use a Warlboro fuel pump, or a Racetronix Pump. I'm not sure on the Racetronix unit, but Warlboro makes a unit that can either mount in the tank or mount on the frame rail. Here are the part numbers for the Warlboro units. It says edelbrock, but when i purchased mine for my swap into the RS it was a Warlboro pump in an edelbrock box
350-17933

Why stop there, why not make an entire section devoted to LSX conversions?

Correct, that is what this thread is for. All related to LS or LSX conversions. Mounts, wiring, ECM mods, chassis mods etc, whatever it takes to :grd:

As far as fuel pumps go, I know the EP-241 and EP-381 AC/DELCO pumps will fit in an 87-91 fuel injected Squarebody sending unit, and they put out the proper pressures for an LSx. You can combine this with a WIX33737 filter to regulate your pressure to 58-60psi. The 99-04 Corvettes with LSx's used this filter, since they use a returnless fuel rail.

In fact, as far as squarebodies go, this post from my build thread has just about everything you need to know from the fuel rail to the tank:
