long bed to a short bed??

One of my Truck Mags here a few months ago took and 87 Crew cab and made it a short bed, I would love to do that. I'll see if I can find the issue, and tell you what one it is.

That would be great Shawn, if you do find out which issue that was, please post here and let us know. I think there might be a good chance that article can be found on the internet too if we knew which Magazine it was, and better yet which issue. :waytogo:

i just did mine, and to me, i thought it was one of the easiest i have ever done. i just started a build thread on mine called "canadian c10 stepside" if you wanna see a pic of it. i will post some pics with the stepside box on it this afternoon. if i knew how to post a live link, i would put it on here as i have a step by sep with pics that i used.

here you go guys, its the easiest frame chop i,ve ever done. the only recomendation i have is to only cut off 41/2" off of the top of the rear frame, near the bumper or else you will have to weld in a small plate so you can install the rear box bolts. hope this helps.http://www.73-87.com/7387garage/chassis_suspension/lwb_to_swb.htm

I found it!!!!!!!!! it is the Aug 11 of Street Trucks, it is on page 104 titled Get Short.
