Ok I tried to cheat and screwed myself. I was dropping a 350 in my truck with the wrong engine lift . I tried to lower the tranny a couple inches without dropping it all the way bent the shifter linkage and now it wont move at all. How do I fix it or am I gonna need a new trans?

shouldnt need a new trans.

id assume if it wont move you bent the shift selector or the selector in the valve body.

take off the pan and look at it. take some pics and post it. im sure we can figure out what is going on.

So what part did you bend? No, you shouldn't have to replace the transmission. And probably don't even need to drop the pan. I can't imagine you'd have done any damage to the manual valve or the rooster tail. If you did, no problem, I have plenty of parts I can send if you need them, but I think it's unlikely. Disconnect your shifter linkage, then see if you can turn the manual gear selector on the transmission. If you can, then you know it's not in the transmission. I'm just wondering if you have the shift linkage off the frame of the truck connected properly.

But, we do need to know what you bent.
