Ive got a 79 K10 Silverado with stock heavy duty springs. Id like to keep these springs if possible. My thoughts are to do a shackle flip in the rear. Im just not sure what to do in the front. Blocks? a 4" lift main spring and turn all my original springs so they arch up? Any suggestions and ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks Dillon

Depending on the brand, most lift springs are heavier duty (more stiff) that the stock springs. You won't lose any strength if you ditch your factory front springs.

Don't do blocks in the front! If you still want load carrying capacity then I'd look at the Tuff Country HD springs. The HD spring lift height is based on you having a big block or have a heavy front bumper/winch. If you don't then the amount if lift will be more.

Meaning if you order 3" HD front springs and just have a small block and stock bumper it will lift it around 4". These springs still have a pretty nice ride to them and flex pretty good.

Flipping the front springs will not do any good either. The springs are pretty much flat when there is no load on them.

You can add leafs to the fornt from some rear springs. Never use blocks up front that's a death wish.

agree ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^.

Do your shackle flip in the back , grab some 4" springs for the front , extend your brake lines , get a steering arm and you will be lifted and happy.
