I need to replace my front windshield but glass companies charge more for K5 windshield glass saying it takes a different windshield than a regular truck. This doesn't make sense to me. Is there actually true or just a way to get extra $ from me? Anyone know why they would charge more for a Blazer than a pickup?

ETA: 1988 K5

Well, pick-up body style changed in '88, so yeah that makes sense. If you had them compare it to a suburban or, an r or v series 3500 truck it would probably match.

'88 K5 same as '73-'87 pickups. I pointed this out to glass companies. ???

Asked about '87 truck windshield prices.

It's the same glass as other squarebody trucks. You've got tinted or non tinted, with antenna or without antenna.
