fuse block under the dash? Or is there one under the hood? I'm liking the mini relay idea and my fuse block would look nice, but thought it would be nice to have the fuses and relays in one assembly for the LS.

Pic by chance?

Thanks M8

What is the benefit of using a Cherokee intermediate steering shaft?

You get a universal joint on both sides of the shaft instead of that sloppy ole raggedy joint on the Saginaw end. :) The splined end on the steering box and the D-shaped end on the column match 1977 and later GM cars and trucks through about 1995 on the trucks, maybe '96. Not sure about the cars; I'm guessing they lost the old setup a few years prior to the trucks.

Is that aftermarket? If not, what's it out of?

Get 'er done! You've done 10X more work on that truck than I ever did on the 55 Chevy sedan I had when I was 17.

I like the wheels, hubcaps, and rear bumper with the dealer's name.

Agree LOL. If I had another daily driver that wasn't my wifes, I'd be able to figure a lot of this stuff out quicker. Because it is a daily driver, I'm trying to get this thing running on a test stand so it's a smooth transition when I go to install the LS.

That and I've learned so much here, I don't mind spending a little more time trying to save money on my budget AND help others do it cheaper. Biggest thing is the budget.

Don't know why I thought you were 17! Could swear I saw that was your age. I must have picked a bad day to quit sniffing glue.

oh and the bank of relays from s10 blazers hanging from the firewall. the bracket works as a hangar for the volvo relay if you use it, possible use relays for headlight upgrade.

All good one's 4WD. Thanks. I'm guessing that would run about $30. Better than $100+. I'd read about the Volvo relays....a lot of peeps use them.

Just a reminder to everyone, keep in mind that if the relays aren't rated high enough, they can always be swapped provided the wiring is rated for it.

HR when you get a chance:

Standard list:
-S10 fusebox and/or brackets (use with Volvo relays for Headlight upgrade)

LS Swap list:

-90's Lumina fuse box @ passenger front (possibly other vehicle's...expect the fuse box list to grow)

Hopefully heading to Cinci pending transmission fluid change on the 2013 sentra.

Noticed there are a few G20/30 vans there. Not sure if i can use anything....we'll see. If i can walk out with an LS radiator with engine oil cooling and a coolant overflow jug....all for $50, I'll be happy.

[update] didn't find a radiator I was comfortable buying. I did get another Jeep Cherokee Int. shaft and the coolant reservoir for the LS swap. There was only 2 Cherokee's and the first one I saw was missing the shaft, so I made sure to find the other.

what GM vehicles have the gear vendors everyone is looking for?

What are the vehicles that had the "special" 4x4 with a driveshaft going from the transfercase area directly to each wheel area on the front. Pretty sure it was a van that had it.

If it has one doubt it's the newer one and definitely won't have the newer electronics and deep sump unless someone put one in, but then if they did they wouldn't selling it that cheap, good news is if it does have an old one it's good for an upgrade, don't know what it is now but when I got mine an old one was worth half the cost of a new one on trade in.
