I was wondering if this grille on my 76 gmc jimmy is factory or aftermarket? I want a grille that has GMC on it but my lmc catalog seems to skip my year o_O

That's not a factory grill. You might try brothers trucks or possibly classic industries.

That looks like an old Stull grill.

I know LMC is reproducing licensed Chevy grills with bowties now, but I have not seen any licensed GMC grills. You may have to find a used one. This is an original from the internet.

If that tube grill is in good shape (it looks like it from the pic), I may be interested in buying it if you swap for a stock grill. I always liked those.

Irishman once stole a factory looking reprod grill from Rockauto for next to nothing. It was a closeout clearance deal. Seems it was like a ridiculous $15 and $10 shipping. It was something like that low and stupid. I'd at least look.

I checked rock auto. They have one for a 77 for $25. But not a 76. Will a 77 grill fit? Im not going for a nut a bolt oem restoration. Just a stock/factory look.

75 to 78 will fit, also 79 to 80. The 79-80 have a small opening for the hood release. If you use a 79-80 you need the right grille molding.

The "hole" is the same size on them all but the support the grill bolts onto varies. My 76 and 79 supports look the same so I would say they are probably the same from 75-80, 73/74 is different for sure as I had to swap out those supports to install a 73/74 grill on my 76 and 79.

Going off what members have posted here in the past, the '75-'76 GMC grille mounts the same as the '73-'74 Chevy and GMC grilles.

So apparently the GMC did not adopt the later style mounting until '77.
