My 78 has factory intermittent wipers, can anyone tell me the pattern of how the switch works? And can someone tell me where the pulse board is located?

It's a common upgrade from way back unless someone broke the original thingy off and jammed that knob in there.

It goes on click to the left from off and about 3 clicks right from off
Take a peak behind the dash it is probably integrated into the switch. What you don't like living in Seattle? This 3 days of rain **** is pissing me off.

Ok...

It's factory
If there's no delay, it could be a faulty switch or module
The module is under the driver side of the dash
Slide left for wipe
Push for wash
1 notch right for delay
Rotate knob for amount of delay
2 notches right for low
3 notches right for high

Thanks for the help i appreciate it. I figured rotate was amount of delay. I wasnt sure why it would have a slide left if it has high and low.

It's supposed to be spring loaded, so when you bump it left, it returns to off on its own.
