In need of some guidance

Hello All,

I just purchased an 81' SWB Chevy with a 454 and TH400 trans. The truck originally had a 350 and 350 trans. Will the original driveshaft work with thE 454 and TH400 setup. The engine and trans are currently bolted in with no driveshaft.

Thoughts??

Welcome to the site..

You'll need a 400 yoke and shorten the driveshaft.

There are 3 different tail housings on the th400 trans. 4, 9 ,& 13 in lengths. Do you know which one you have?
