This came in one of the milk crates of parts i got with my 74 gmc. Just curious what year this one is from. Is that an 86 or a 28? Im assuming 86.

Those were supposedly from 78-87...I had one like that in my 79 monte carlo, pretty much all the fancy GM lines got them.

That's one of the later electronically tuned versions. It's a really cool radio if it still works. They have a lot of features packed into it.

My '88 Burb came with one stock. Wish I would have kept it.

It does work and its going in soon. Thanks for the info. Any tips on finding the ignition wires under the dash? Cant spot the brown and orange because my interior is black, brown and orange.

That's a Delco 2700 ETR. As aforementioned, it'll be awesome if it works, and it'll sound pretty decent with new speakers. Add you a little four channel amp, and I think that'll really wake it up. I have the 2000 ETR in my Caprice, and the regular 2700 in my Jimmy, which is the one with the dial and fat preset buttons. I'd like to have a car or truck with that one in it someday. If it doesn't work, and you still want it, you're in luck. Plenty of mail order radio shops work on them.
