Welcome Back !!! So which tailshaft do you have on the Th400? I have a feeling that's going to be tough one to find a driveshaft for. With any luck, maybe it's a 6 inch slip yoke Th400. If so you'll have a better chance of finding a driveshaft and it'll be from a 4.3 V6 Shortbed truck believe it or not. The 4.3's came with a Th400 and it wasn't the bolt on 4in yoke. but the 6in output that took the slip yoke. If it's donor is a shortbed truck, then the length should be correct.

Unfortunate the th400 has a fixed yolk I do have a 2 piece driveshaft from the Swb but can't seem to find a carrier bearing crossmember for it. I don't think one was ever made for the swb in the 80s

On my standard cab long beds, the carrier bearing mounts to the same member that the rear of the cab bushings.

I noticed that on the donor truck, it was a 77 but the 87 has a different set up. For the cab mounts I'm pretty sure there were no 87 swb trucks with 2 piece driveshafts
