Has anyone installed one of these? I have a brand new one sitting in my garage waiting for my truck to come back from paint and want to put it in when I get it back. How to I go about with extending the wiring harness and all that. Pics of an install would be great. Thanks.

I have a highliner in my truck, but the p.o. installed it. I did put the radio in though and I can say make the wires longer then you think they should be because trying to splice to wires that barely reach past the opening in an overhead console is very much a pain in the ass.

How did you run the wire harness to the top of the headliner?

I'll get some pics up soon, the previous owner installed the highliner, I think the wires for the radio go up the a pillar behind the trim piece. The other option if you don't have the trim would be to follow the path of the dome light wires.

I have the trim but I'm trying to figure out how the wires can be extended to reach that far.

Where do I pick up something like extra wire to extend it out? Really I have no idea what kind of wire to pick up. I kinda got a few places I could pick it up just dont know what kind of wire I need.

Ok worked on the highliner headliner today. Does the headliner go on first then the trim? or the trim first then the headliner?

Headliner and then trim. It's hard to do by yourself.

I too am installing a headliner, I have all the trim (ceiling, pillars ect. I dont think my truck came with those so i have to find the best way of attachment. Some kits have velcro but that seems kinda cheap to me and will need to be messed with after install, really want SS screws and uclips but dont want to tack in hardware.. Any one have pictures of what they did would be helpful..
