Thinking about going to a single tank. I have a k10 short bed. I thought that a single rear where the spare tire used to be. Anybody done a conversion? All ears on my part.

I thought people ADDED gas tanks....problems with the selector valve are common and whatever the trouble, it is likely easily repaired. Cheap even.
Give it some time, others will be here soon.

I got a new selectors switch on way. Another problem Ive been coming across is wiring. I seem to find wire for the driver side float. I looked at the diagram a million times. I am doing a custom dash and was wanting to do dual gas gauges. If I kept the dual tanks

Doing a Blazer tank is kind of complicated. Personally I wouldn't bother. It's greater capacity than a single, but less than a dual. Then you have to fab up someway to fill it, which I have seen people run fillers from the bedside over, or you can do a trapdoor in the bedfloor, which seems messy to me.

I agree with Rusty Nail, I'd just fix the selector and be done with it lol.

I've done the Blazer tank and it is quite involved. I know in the 90s GM was doing a recall on these trucks, basically doing the Blazer tank swap. I'd like to know how they addressed the filler neck part of the swap, if they just ran a long pipe with a couple 90 degree filler adapters or what. The rest of the swap is not as bad as trying to figure out what the hell to do with the filler. I ended up cutting the filler door out of the bedside and relocating it behind the driver side wheel. Used some metal pipe and rubber filler adapters to make the transition to the tank. But inside the bed I had to fabricate a half box cover to protect the back of the filler and hoses right behind the wheel well. Mine starts about here in my build thread, it's about a page before I get into it but I like how @Honky Kong jr did his filler door and inside of bed, he posted pics at this page...
