I am the original owner of a 1994 GMC Suburban 5.7L and hear a 'gurgling' sound when accelerating. I have had a new engine installed along with a new heater core and HD water pump. No leaks that I can see. Is there a way to bleed any air out of the heater core if that is the issue. Otherwise - any ideas?

Are you sure it is gurgling and not excessive flow. Some years had restrictors.

Our 99 burb does it too. I only notice it in park and reving the engine, don't notice/or hear it over the roar of the v8. But it didn't used to make the sound. I've driven rigs that were really loud, I think itb was an 02 s10

one thing it could be is your hoses are the wrong direction. also, if you have changed the factory line routing at all. And, if you have rremoved any restrictors that were stock, Finally, having air stuck in the heater core area. Bleed the system extra thourough, jack up front end, use a no spill funnel, rev engine with heat on max, romp on it, quench hoses
