Currently I am having 235/75 R 75 on my 7". Now - since some parts of the wheels are rusty I will use the worsening weather to strip the tires and shoot a layer of Silver over the old rims. Do some polishing of the beauty rings and detailing of the faded caps. While doing that, it may also be time for wider tires. Maximum allowance over here in Europe for 7" Rallies is 255/70-15. Can I really do that on the 7"?

Wider rims not an option - I wanna keep it original and TRW`s are unavailable here. Shipping from the States would go by Ocean in an LCL only. With all the Terror of customs, domestic transport and the uncertainty if a collective Container with ten different pallets inside will actually make it without Problems.

The 255/70 size would work well. It's perfect on an 8 inch rim, but a 7 works good too.

Shouldn't be a problem. I ran 275/60/15s on 7 in rallies for years.
