Front drive shaft color blue?

My front driveshaft on my 1989 crew cab 4x4 is painted blue (ahead of transfer case). Is this original and what type of paint would I use to repaint it?

Usually they came in black from what I recall. I wouldn't get too obsessed over the original color. Unless you are going for a concourse restoration then black will work fine.
