I have a 1978 chevy 350 5.7 liter I've had for 10 years. Recently my ex-girlfriend wrecked it and im trying to get it back into shape just body damage. It still drives perfectly fine just having major battery draws. New battery, new alternator, and my battery died after 2 days of driving. I went to lunch on day 2 truck started up fine then went to put gas in and wouldn't start up and showed 12-13v on dash gauge when trying to start then 7v when turning key over. Jumped it showed 13 volts when driving. Got home turned key and battery is to weak to crank. I checked with volts meter to verify and read same thing. I cleaned main grounds and still didnt help. I've been through 4 batterys trying to make sure wires are not sliced and exposed.
