So I have to do my Door hinge pins on drivers side, the kit comes with 2 splined bushing and 2 normal brass bushings. Do the splined bushing press right into the hole or am I going to need to drill out the hinge, Anybody whos done this before please chime in.... Thanks so much Mike

They usually tap in unless the holes are oblong then they fall in.

Oh yeah lol could be worse these doors aren’t that heavy. I think the worse ones I ever did were on one of my Monzas.

I have to do this as well come spring time. I'm glad its the burb and not my 79 Trans Am.

Let us know how it goes, I'm definitely curious to see what I'm getting into.

When I did mine, I used the smooth brass bushings because they slipped right into the holes. I think the thicker, (corrugated?) bushing might be for when the hole is REALLY worn out, and you drill it oversize to fit. But I might be wrong - I never found the answer on that one either.

The pins in my doors are getting a little loose, can they be replaced without taking the doors off the truck, or do I have to take the doors off? Need to replace the striker bolts too, they are worn down pretty bad (and not just the plastic).

No need to take the door off just support it, pretty easy with two sets of hands..
