Do tripod mirrors use a inner door brace

As the title says. I have an origial set im wanting to install but have only used the dumbos before. I know the dumbos use a brace but do the tripods?

I dont believe they have an inner brace, i think its just an achor in the door where the bolt goes.

I don't remember for sure, so this is just a guess here, but I believe they do. The upper part of the door is flimsy and needs all the support it can get. Even the little sport mirrors have a support bracket.

Again, just a guess.
