Okay been working on a Cummins swap for a while know also 4wd conversion so far I have a 91 Cummins with getrag and auto np205 t case dana 60 and 70 dodge axles for truck I have an 87 2500 2wd bought a 78 k30 frame with springs getting ready to put the axles under the frame I know the perches are narrower then the gm ones questions I have are:
Do I have to modify the dodge perches on the axles and any other differences?

Trans cross members what have other members done?

And fuel tanks can I use a gas tank and make my own pick up tubes and sending unit?

I did a 74 2wd swap, and used the old gas line as a return, and ran a new 3/8 gates fuel hose, to a homemade "sump". the sump is so easy, and helps get un-aireated fuel to your cummins :)
it's good practice to return your fuel under the fluid level to reduce air.....
