Connecting with a laptop with Tuner Pro RT and DIY cable.

Double check that it is accessing the .adx and .xdf files correctly. Are the files saved on your C: drive and not on a memory stick?

They are stored on the C: and the program is pointed at them along with the .bin

If it connects but no data stream usually wrong files. Verify the ecm number and download all available files to try(diffetent masks)

I checked the ecm number before downloading and took a pic with my cell so 'i didnt have to take it out again.

Which ecm do you have, and have you tried all of the files available for it?

7-7747 is all that is on it. I think it's a Reman ecm

Have you tried connecting using different files provided on this link:

You can also try using the ads files posted and import them. That would convert them to adx format of newer tuner pro.

I would try another computer as well. I have one laptop with extra stubborn version of windows that i need to nuke because it fails to to communicate through serial. But it would fail the cable test when in the programm. Make sure to try different versions of the files as well as a different system. Which chip are yoi using in the cable?

It passes the cable test without being connected to the vehicle but never connects. I also tried it on the same machine running virtual box and windows XP that I have to use for tuning my commander 950 ecm.

Have you tried with winaldl and see if it shows connection? I think you would have to try on a different vehicle if other software fails. There is another data loging software that i use for testing only due to being a trial, but the name escaped from me. I will check on the logging laptop this weekend.
