Might be a really bad ass color with white stripes to help break it up

I have a 67 also waiting to be restored, going to go back to original Butternut Yellow, love the purple.

If it was truly a blank canvas I wouldn't, but since that was the original color I would go with purple. If nothing else it saves you from having to paint EVERYTHING to make it look right.

DuPont has a line they call "Hot Hues" that I saw on some V8TV project cars. You might want to look in to that you want more pop than the factory color.

My 2¢. - Worth everything you paid for it. It's all personal preference so you paint your car any color you like.

As blank of a canvas as it gets at the moment. But I think the power of purple is taking over. Just the interior is going to be different from factory. Originally gold inside, going to be silverish grey paint and parchment panels. Convertible above looks miles ahead from what this one started as.

Yeah, that's pretty blank. I like the grey interior better than gold for either color. Nice work on the restoration.

My vote is definitely royal plum, I think I’d be voting for it even if it wasn’t the factory color. I had no idea that was an option for Camaros. ‘67 only or was there purple in 68 and 69?

When I bought my 76 vette 17 years ago it was a badly oxidized light blue - with RED interior. PO insisted it was factory but trim tag in door jam plain as day told me it was originally silver. When I had it painted three years later I had the guy match factory color.
