Bumper vs. Bumper Face Bar?

[1987 GMC Jimmy]

I've searched for a used round bumper for my Jimmy to no avail. I'm looking for a replacement (unless anyone relatively close knows of a bumper or has one). Some of these are listed as face bars. Is that some pointless nomenclature, or should I avoid those?

I'm thinking face bar is the new term for bumper because when did cars last use a real bumper? Everything ting is plastic now and refered to as facia.

That's a new one to me. I notice that they ship from California though, so they're probably a China or Japan import. A point was brought up at work the other day that a China bumper probably has better chrome on it than you can get here anymore on account of their non-existent environmental laws. I had to counter with "well yeah, good chrome, but used on **** steel." No one argued. Fwiw, I just got some new bumpers for #4, and they guy referred to them as "skins"

Yeah, upon further digging, it seems that this bumper is coming from Taiwan. I wish I could find an OEM bumper that was in good shape. I've looked for one four hours in all directions from me, and I've found zip that was in good shape.

Is your bumper bespoke to the blazer model, or is it the same as what was refered to as a "sport" bumper for the eighties trucks and vans?

Not just to the Blazer/Jimmy. The Suburbans got the same one. I've found plenty of nice G Van bumpers, but from what I can find, they are pretty different.
