Hey all,
It is starting!! I have a guy putting the engine in with Dirty Dingo mounts, then I will transport back to my house for the rest. I will be sending my harness off to 150tunes.com for re-work and have a local buy tune when all is in.

Question: For people who have done this with the 6L80e, how did you hook up the shift link????????

I know $h!t about this so be kind!!

Stand by for loads of questions!!

Ben

Na, keeping it stock except for a tune. I would have liked to but the boss (wife) is already cursing me for this so I can't let it get too out of hand!! The engine only has 38,000 mi on it.

Yeah, I wasn't talking about getting crazy. I was just talking about freshening it up with new parts to ensure (hopefully) no issues. Did you hear it run prior to pulling it out? How did you confirm the 38k miles on the motor?

I dind't hear it run (4 hour drive one way) but did confirm the vin with pictures on the dash of the vehicle with the power on that showed 38,***. Donor was a 2011 sivlerado with back end damage, the front end was fine.

I will have the truck back Wednesday with the trans and engine in and will post pics then. I will be sending the harness in either tomorrow or Wednesday for re-work and no I have to get some O2 sensors because the yard didn't send them so there's another $60-80!!

The 6L80 is a little taller than the TH350 (at least stands taller in the same place) so I had to cut the center of the crossmember down an inch. Hopefully it will install good after this. There was clearance but didn't want to take the chance of it rattling the floor of the cab.

Looks good! Make sure since you dropped the Trans. down a bit, that your driveline angles are still good when you get it all back together.
