First time post, been a member for a little while.. Figured it was time for an introduction! Been around and into cars and trucks my whole life, worked at a speed shop through my teens and early 20's, always had a mud truck or fast car of some kind. But as it goes life got in the way, sold my toys, bought a house and grew up and settled into a career as a union heavy equipment mechanic. But finally decided last year it was time to get back into the mix so I went searching and acquired an '82 K30 that had sat for a few years. Previous owner supposedly had used it in "cheater stock" pulling classes so it has a few things (tricks) done to it. Body is in pretty decent shape, not a lot of rust or rot, paint is faded from sitting in the sun but had good bones and the bulletproof (mostly) driveline I was looking for. Dana 60 front, 14 bolt ff rear, 4.10's 454 th400, etc. Got a pretty good deal on it and finally getting some time to tinker with it here and there (started a new job last fall) this summer. Mostly driving it around town or the country with the kiddos who have taken a strong liking to the "Old Chevy" and love hearing it turn the rpm's! Cant say as I blame them! I see there is a ton of informative threads on here and as I dig deeper into this project im sure i'll be around a little more and more. Its eventually going to get a complete make over, but for now i'm more concerned with the odds and ends of making it road worthy and having a little fun with it. looking forward to the interaction And probably asking advice and tech questions from some of you seasoned members.

Thanks everyone! It needs some attention from sitting for so long, but its mostly mechanically sound. I just bought those slots a few weeks ago and put on it, and it really made the truck look 10 times better I think! Lots of wiring issues to address at the moment and a few odd ball leaks here and there, but so far we're having fun with it!
