Slowly moving along, headers installed but need to clearance a bit for the steering box. Starting to clean it and measuring up the modifications needed for the fuel tank.

I did better than that the first time I ever welded. That 3K job looks more like a 300 dollar job but I'd go with bucket's suggestion and carry on.
You can always post who did the work and we'll all stay away and refer against their shop. You can also go to the Chamber of Commerce with a complaint and the BBB.
You can always chalk it up to experience and the next time you need work done, write down EXACTLY what you want done and have them sign and agree to it first. Any deviation from that and it's their problem. Details, details, details.

Going back to the body shop. Hoping they will spend some time cleaning up overlap and welding mess.

Good to hear, hope they can make it more acceptable. Anyways, you’re ahead of the pack as most of us don’t have a gen 1 Camaro of any kind!

Um, I hope that little crappy 1 inch strap is holding something other than the car.

Um, I hope that little crappy 1 inch strap is holding something other than the car.
It was used as initial hold, on other side is a 2.5" strap and a chain. Front is a massive tow/pull strap. And later not pictured is a backup 10K lb rated tow strap. But yes, a good point that those small straps are not for actually holding a car down. Not true and proper strap equipment, but decent enough substitute to keep the car on the trailer.

That really sucks, that's bad work... My second gen is out to a shop now because I want it done correctly, but it sucks to be at the mercy of other people.

Keep at it, it'll get there one day!

Yeah, it's a bit shoddy. But sad to say, that's the kind of work many shops put out.

I would file a lawsuit over that one and Definetly never signed a check they shoulda of paid him for damages to a classic

I bought fuel related parts a long time ago. So proceeding on cutting holes, mounting a ford fuel pump bucket to feed stock 67 fuel sender. If it was not that I already spent money on this parts, would have just ordered fuel injected fuel tank that they sell now.

Came up with more wonderful work that the shop did. Great spot welds holding two panels together...
