I have driven this car maybe 100 miles in the last 8 years. And 3 of those years it was actually a running/driving vehicle. I just didn't have any money for fuel and was afraid to blow up something(it ate couple of starters in the beginning and that set the fear in).

Finally made a bit of progress on my 67 camaro in 3 years. First bought 5.3 for it, then sold it as it was taking too many funds. Then still with some motivation left, picked up a hood for it. Used to have a 6" cowl fiberglass take off to clear the blower, but don't need it anymore as going with 305tpi instead. Bringing the 305 from dallas area next weekend.
under the hood is a mix of old and new. Subframe and front suspension/steering is completely redone. All the body parts are in need of work.

last time the car moved, was already missing the motor

About 5 years ago, drove it to a friends house when found a buyer for the engine/trans combo. As you can tell it was all go and no show. Body shop held it hostage for few more years after that night.

last picture is when it all started. I was dumb for buying it in the shape it was at the time. But still kept hope for it.

That bent door, is it the same door in the other pictures?

I junked both doors at the first chance. Unfortunately replacement doors that I found were beat up as well, just not as bad.
a bit of old pictures here. I bought a complete basket case while living in an apartment with part time job and as a full time student. Obviously no logic there.
It received a paint roller epoxy primer coating

started to take the front back apart. Amazing the random hardware that I used at the time trying to save a dollar. Also realized that pretty much all of the front sheet metal is screwed up in some way. This is where I need to decide on spending a lot of time trying to straighten them out or give up with lighter new sheet metal. For example, core support is mangled because previous owner stuck a truck radiator in.

I'm surprised that your apt building at the time allowed you to have that car in their parking lot :)

No kidding. I lived in a condo that required all cars on the property be registered and running. No car washing allowed and you couldn't open the hood for any reason, not even to just check fluid levels. I only lasted a year there.

I did more in apartment parking lots than i have so far in my own driveway. Cheap apartments tend to be mismanaged

Used a comealong/suburban to drag the engine out of the shed. Then used the hoist from there.

And loaded up

The downside is I have to disconnect the trailer if I want to fully open the tailgate because of the jack.

A little bit of progress
Previous owner cut the core support to jam a truck radiator in with bailing wire. Hammered back in to the shape and will need to weld the seam. Also cut heater core cover plate.

Sometimes it is getting the small things that make the hole mess easier to look at. Also have a line on a set of 68 doors. They got rid of the vent windows in 68, so i would not mind changing to 68 doors. Was posted as private listing, but turned out to be a shop. Was literally 20min from them at the time but could not pick them up because they were closed.

a little more progress. Welded up stitches on the core support and cut new mounts. Need to cut out old mounting pads, weld new ones and then just weld up couple of holes.
