Looks like a 3/4 ton truck they put a dually axle under and some dually bed fenders. The front wheels don't look factory, maybe adapter bud wheels or something? The front is a Dana 44 and I don't think you can buy bud wheel hubs for them.

I've seen a few. I've seen a Blazer dually to. But then again I saw a 78 Malibu wagon on a K5 frame today couldn't get a pic at 77mph and he was coming the opposite direction. Probably on like 33s towing a trailer.

There used to be a shop not too far from me that did dually Suburban conversions back in the day, they were a class act too you'd never know it didn't came from the factory that way..

The first truck, the poster's screen name says it all. It's a K20 that has wheel adapters up front and probably the same out back. It has a single wheel width 14 bolt and not a dually D70.

The second truck is a very clean looking K20 that has also been converted. The rear fenders do not have the hard-to-find trim on them that goes along with the rest of the trim on the truck. The owner is calling it rare because they are liars or just ignorant.

Nothing about the one I posted made sense. I just thought I'd put it up for some entertainment value, I love to see all the details pointed out that usually get over looked. Having said that, for some reason, I thought I had read that the 4x4 duellies came with the 14 bolt, and the 2wd got the d70. I can't recall the exact source, it was back when I was trying to find a way to use the d70 sitting in my garage. I want to say I read it in the 14 bolt thread on pirate, but I could be wrong, or they could be wrong. It is the internet after all.

There were 14bolts used in duallies, but they were the narrow-track cab&chassis trucks. The housing itself was the same width, it just got the narrow wheel spacing from the dually hubs that were used on it (same as dually D70 hubs IIRC). The only thing that made the housing different from SRW was where the backing plate flanges were welded on.

Full-width duallies (pickup bed) got the wider D70 no matter 2wd or 4x4.
