Got new rubber flooring and seems like a pita to put in. Old flooring came out in pieces so i can't use for a pattern. Any tips put there?! Can i use a heat gun to help form it?

Clean the metal floor and apply a rust inhibitor or sealer first. Then I'd do as bluex suggests.

Very nice. Attack ALL of the floorboard rust no matter how small. Pull the door seal, get rid of the rust, spray rust converter, then a primer sealer, then paint it before you put the pad down.

One thing that helped when I did the vinyl floor in my truck was to find a couple contours (at least 1 on each side) as a starting point and then work out from there. Another thing that I ran into was things moving around when I bolted down pedals, belts, etc.; what might help is to bolt things down such as belts, etc. before trimming edges...I can't say with 100% certainty that this will work but bolting things down afterwards did not work for me.

I agree with the comments so far -

a) Let it warm up in the sun to make it softer and easier to work with

b) I roll it up from both ends (like a scroll) and start in the middle; find a formed feature to help locate it (a contour in the floor or whatever) and then gradually work it forward and backward.

c) Bolt everything down before trimming the edges.

d) For goodness sake don't trim it too short in the passenger footwell area! (I've done it twice now).
